British College CEO Rajan Kandel Won ‘MD of the Year’ Award

EDUCAST, Rajan Kandel, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of British College, has been honored with the ‘MD of the Year’ award by SME News.

Kandel, who is also the founder of British College under the British Education Group, received this accolade as part of the SME News IT Awards 2024. The awards, presented annually by the UK-based publication SME News, recognize business leaders who are driving positive change in their industries.

The SME News IT Awards highlight individuals who stand out in the IT solutions, data migration, and IT transformation sectors. Kandel was awarded in the ‘Best Investing Managing Director’ category within the ‘International Education Sector’ for his work with the Kandel Group.

“I started my career as an IT manager. Today, we partner with some of the world’s leading universities, offering IT and other educational programs to students across four continents,” Kandel said. “This year, we also began offering courses in partnership with the University of Greenwich in the UK and acquired the Maritime Business College in Canada. Therefore, this award is particularly meaningful to me.”
